LAMDA
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art is one of the oldest and most well-respected Drama schools in the world. LAMDA believes in the transformative power of the dramatic arts and the value to society of creativity, innovation and authentic, confident communication. LAMDA examinations are globally recognised qualifications in acting, literature, musical theatre, public speaking and poetry.
With over 5 years of teaching drama to children, we at Marmalade believe passionately that one of the greatest gifts in life is to be able to explore yourself and the world through stories and that drama is essential for a child’s human development.
In the early years, drama improves understanding of language, communication and broadens imagination. It encourages children to collaborate and to be sensitive to the needs of a group.
Each of our classes is designed and tailored to suit the particular developing needs of the specific age group. In the younger years; classes consist of games, role-play, dressing up, story telling and improvisation. From the age of 11, our students start to work on acting skills, exploring texts as well as devising, singing, dancing and showcases.
